Chris Randall

Specialist Areas:
Chris specialises exclusively in contentious and non-contentious Employment Law.  His broad experience involves advising and representing clients in the full spectrum of employment claims, including claims for: sex, race, age, sexual orientation, religious belief and disability discrimination as well as contract disputes and unfair dismissal.  Chris conducts his own advocacy and regularly appears before the Employment Tribunals.  He has expertise in enforcing restrictive covenants, redundancy programmes, TUPE transfers and managing industrial action.  Chris also advises in relation to corporate transactions, acquisitions, disposals and the preparation of service agreements, terms and conditions of employment and severance packages.

Career History:
Chris achieved a First Class LL.B Hons Degree from Lincoln University in 2003.  While at University he was also elected as Student Law Society President and took the University prize for mooting in his final year.  Chris won a Law Society Scholarship in 2003 which allowed him to complete the Legal Practice Course at The College of Law, York.  Chris originally began his training contract at Sills & Betteridge, Lincoln in 2004 before moving to Bridge McFarland in 2006.  He qualified as a solicitor in the firm's employment department in October 2006.  Chris achieved a LL.M (merit) in the law of Employment Relations by distance learning from the University of Leicester in 2009.  He specialised in the subject of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 for his dissertation.  Chris is a member of the Industrial Law Society.

Personal:
Chris' hobbies include: squash, tennis and snooker. He also has a particular interest in politics and British History.
