Louise Bush

Specialist Areas:
Louise is Head of the Clinical Negligence Department in Lincoln and since June 1998  has worked predominantly in the field of advising and assisting injured people.  She has dealt with a wide variety of cases from clinical and professional negligence to fatal injuries and serious road traffic and industrial accident claims.  Louise has assisted both children and adults and has represented their interests at a variety of venues including the County and Coroners Courts. 

Louise is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL ) and has been since 1998.


Career History:

Louise graduated with a 2:1 degree from the University of Hertfordshire in 1995 and then attended the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Chester, from September 1995 to Summer 1996.  She commenced her training contract in November 1996.

Louise qualified as a Solicitor on 1 December 1998 following a 2 year training contract at a High Street Firm in Greater Manchester.  During her training Louise gained knowledge in a wide variety of areas including childcare, matrimonial, crime and civil litigation.  She became an accredited Police Station representative in September 1998. 

Louise relocated from Manchester to Lincoln in January 2002 when she joined the Personal Injury team at Burton & Co in Lincoln.   Louise soon became Head of Department and then became a Partner in October 2005.  She joined Bridge McFarland in January 2009, following her return from maternity leave, where she became Head of the Lincoln Clinical Negligence team.


Personal:
Outside work Louise enjoys various hobbies including cycling,  skiing, gardening and renovating her Victorian house.  Louise is married with twins.  All  holidays are spent either skiing in Canada or relaxing in Cornwall.
